I have just checked my credit report and the only thing i have on there on an active acount is 1 missed payment, 6 old missed payments from long time ago which are settled no ccjs and no defaults, what are my chances of a mortgage? I do have lots of commitments though, but keep ontop of it. Want my name on my partners account but as a non payer, is this possible??

The odd missed payment on a credit card is no big deal provided it doesn't run into 2 months. Forgetting is one thing but not being able to pay is a different matter.
You say you have lots of commitments. Is it worth staying in your current position for another 6 months or so and really knuckling down to tackle these? It makes life so much easier, when you don't have to worry about loans and CC payments every month... I really can't stress that enough.0 -

You should be able to get a mortgage without too much trouble.
What kind of "commitments"?I do have lots of commitments though, but keep on top of it.
Possible, maybe, but why would you want to? What happens if he runs off and stops paying the mortgage? Where does that leave you?Want my name on my partners account but as a non payer, is this possible??
I don't see what the point of your name being on the mortgage is. Am I missing something?

most finance companies don't have a problem with a few 1s and 2s on a credit file, it's if there's a repeated pattern they would be concerns.
your credit history seems fineIt's a health benefit ...0
