This is the best short term fixed rate that I can find for say £50,000 at 2.75%
Never heard of them before but looks like it's protected up to £50K
Is it OK? Assuming I can post links?

Not if you think it's savings account. It's an investment and it's not protected.

Best FSCS protected savings accounts: http://www.moneywise.co.uk/best-savings-rates
Though you can get 3, 4 and 5% AER on some £42,500 in a series of (FSCS protected) current accounts. Larger sum if you can do joint accounts.
You might also be able to get 2% on £15K in a 1-year fixed rate cash ISA.0 -

Thanks very much!
I read the other thread and think it's slightly misleading so I'll look elsewhere.0 -

Did you read the warning?
What are the risks?
Please remember that investments can go down, as well as up, and you could get back less than you invested.
This is an investment so the investment disclaimer applies. Have you already got other share or bond based investments?
Rather worrying if people are thinking this is a savings account.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -

Some fixed term offers here (with FSCS protection):

I'm not an expert so fixed rate & fixed term looked fairly safe, so glad I asked for the advice on here.0
