Please be aware that there are serveral Emails going around off big banks asking for information into your account. They are a Phising emails and shouldnt be clicked on.
I have created this thread so that we dont get many of these off each different bank.
What we can do is just list the "banks" that are sending emails so we dont have loads of Different threads which in essence are the same thing.
Ill start the ball rolling:
Nationwide
Halifax

I got seven nationwide ones today to one of my ex-colleague's work email address (her mail is now delivered to me). I think she must have once clicked on a link, as she gets them all the time from all sorts of supposed banks. Her address must be on a mug list somewhere! I forward them all on to the appropriate bank and then delete and block the sender.0

I just delete all spam email. If there is really something important from the bank they can either call me, letter or when am in the bank itself.0

Hi Butlers1982
Thanks for pulling all this together. Recently I received an e-mail from Barclays (who I don't have any account with) at work. I deleted of course as previous posters have advised. Any e-mail contact from banks should be regarded as spam. If they have anything important to say they will write a letter or phone! I know we all do so much on the internet - buying, selling, conducting our financial affairs. I have a dedicated different e-mail address for any transactions I undertake and interestingly enough I never get any bank e-mails to that one!

Why do you think your thread will stop any of the other threads
If we just post them here, then it will help to avoid several duplicate threads as when anyone gets an email from a bank they post it here and this moves up the page to keep it up at the top.0
