when to apply for Santander 123 current account following house move?

I have recently bought a flat on mortgage and have moved to new address. I am thinking about opening a Santander 123 current account due to cashback and interest rates but not sure what the chances of approval are given that I have just moved to a new address.
Should I wait for a couple of month until I am on electoral register and my new address becomes a bit established on my credit history? or does it not matter?

My credit history is good. I have joint mortgage with Santander and also a cash ISA with Santander.

Normal practice is to get established at the address and get on the electoral role.

With the money to be made with cash back and interest on top of you already having a banking relationship with them through the mortgage and the ISA I would apply ASAP.

    Good luck

if you apply in Branch or over the phone, they should be able to handle the address change at the same time. Your CRA file will still have a record of your previous address in any case. I would apply asap.

You could try it online straight away - go via Quidco or TCB for a bit of cashback. Should that fail, you can still go into Branch or phone them.

With Santander being the mortgage provider (I assume it's for this house), I would think they'd already know the new address.

If they're giving you a mortgage at this address I can't see why they'd reject a current account application.

Possibly, yes. Though the current account application would definitely [also] look at the CRA file and the Electoral Roll, and might get confused if either or both don't yet show the new address.
