I had a pcn in post for
Alleged offence 28 june 2014 Contravention 31 (although its with CCTV so advice says should be 31J)
PCN issued 8 july
My letter 21 july
Their letter with dvd 15 august received 18 aug
19 august – received 20 aug charge cert. ( no notice of rejection or acceptenace snet to me prior to this. And therefore no letter of appeal was sent by council for me to send to adjudicator
Charge cert states I did not appeal to adjudicator yet they never sent me one.
They have failed to allow me ability to pay £130 before raising to £195. I noticed on back of PCN that if I want then to consider my repl]=resentation than ineed to sign the form.. Yet i sent the letter to them instead and it seem they wat to penalise me for this!



As an asside, the dvd shows my possible at a top for 5 seconds...yet i could have reversed and gone in the clear left lane, but due to safety didnt as i would have reversed into cars behind me that were manoevering. They were freely able to turn into the adjactent roadthat were easily able to turn inot the adjacent road without my van causing a hindrance.


I beleive i didnt contravene the code as
the exit was clear due to the clear left lane, i just chose to go in right lane, so i stopped due to my choice NOT cause of pripohbited exit ( as per previous case no

So what do do now that they have sent charge cert? and havent given me chance to appeal to adjudicator?

Anyway, back to business:

As this is a council penalty charge, you're best taking this over to PePiPoo where they specialise in council tickets - and they have a good success rate.

Before making your initial post over there do read through a few of the new threads and notice how the forum likes things to be presented - you'll need, for example, to scan/photo both sides of any documentation you've received and upload it there with your first post.

Can't read all that red - makes me think of that rubbish team funded by far too much money (could be one of several!), what are they called...oh I know, Manchester Plastic United.

Anyway if you have a Charge Cert then you have to wait for the Order for recovery (the next letter) before you can get this sorted by applying to the TEC. Pepipoo will explain but drop the red text on there and make sure you show them pics of the charge cert and a link to the Box Junction or the video of the event if the Council ever sent you a link. Pepipoo forum is the best place for this to be handled.

If you get no replies on pepipoo and it falls to page two then you need to reply on your own thread there and ask for help. Happens sometimes - did you include pictures? If not then that's why. Add more pics in a new reply or ask for comments & advice. Maybe they are waiting for you to say the OfR has arrived since you can't do anything at Charge Certificate stage.

Thanks - Id love to attach photos. cant seem to add photos on there. Sorry to ask you about such meaial tasks.....I go to attach and the file is under thier limit, but after selecting upload, it doesnt upload...strange

Read their FAQs first (cunningly hidden in the part 'how to post pictures') or you won't get any replies there without pics. You don't 'upload'.

Great news - they sent me a notice of acceptance due to a precedural impropriety - ie they didnt progress my case in the correct legal order...ie they ofrgot to send me a notice of rejection or acceptance befpre sending the charge cert...oops...

Typical Council !!!!-up - this happens a lot and is one reason why it's always worth appealing!
