Hi
Can anyone help me?
I met a colleague for a business meeting at MOTO Poplar 2000 services in Lymm. We were unaware this place now had restricted parking times so ran over the 2 hour slot.
My colleague has successfully appealed and had is charge cancelled.
I have appealed, providing the copy emails between my colleague and CP Plus and they have declined my appeal! Why? Is the question I've asked them. Clearly inconsistency is their policy.
Also I am now involving POPLA to help.
Has anyone encountered this problem at these services and what was the outcome.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.

there are dozens of MSA threads on here so doesnt really matter which one it was or why they accepted or declined appeals
nobody here has a clue why these private companies are so inconsistent nor do we care either
the point here is you have a popla code, so forget about "what happened" and check the popla code is valid, then copy and paste a recent similar popla appeal from here into notepad, adapt it , save it, have it checked on here then submit to popla, win the popla appeal and cost them £27 + vat for their troubles
everything you need is in the NEWBIES sticky thread and use the search box and the word MSA to find similar threads and appeals
you arent the first, and wont be the last
there are dozens of "outcomes" in the POPLA DECISIONS thread , where over 99% have been won and those that havent are usually disputed0 -
OTISDOG,
When you appeal forget about CP Plus's inconstancy. Use the correct template from the newbies thread and POPLA will cancel the charge.
I used POPLA to 'see off' CP Plus earlier this year. :j:j0 -
I only wrote a new CP Plus POPLA appeal template, literally the other day, all fresh and new and stronger than before because someone reported a lost case, which we can't be doing with here! So - there was no need for a new thread, the Newbies thread tells you how to win at POPLA v CP Plus in a MSA (Motorway Service Area).
If you have already appealed to POPLA about 'what happened' and included no winning points, then - oh dear - for the love of God send POPLA an email with the extra wording, sharpish, from the version in post #3 of the Newbies thread. You'll easily lose v CP Plus if you don't send a strong POPLA appeal. POPLA cannot 'help' you, they can only make a decision based on facts - contract law not mitigation - I assume you did read that on the POPLA website?
Rhetorical question for other posters... why are no newbies reading the top thread asking for newbies to 'read it first'? We can't keep replying like this when the top thread covers it, it's like two steps forward one step back today on here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
