£18 a month working at/from home tax relief

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, my apologies if it isn't.

Does anyone know anything about an £18 a month you can claim in tax relief for working at/from home. Some one has just told me that I should be claiming £18 tax relief a month as I work from home 3-4 days out of 5.

I've never heard of this before. Is it difficult to claim. Who do you claim it from and how? Can it be back dated? I've done this job since 2002.

My employers are very adamant that I work from home and not at home. Don't know if this makes any difference or not. They tell me that if I work at home they would have to provide extra equipment and they don't want to do that.

Thanks in advance for any help.
I love a bargain. Now mortgage and debt free. hurray!!:smileyhea
