Bursery overpayment 10yrs ago

Options
Hi
Wondering if anyone can help. i attended college 10yr ago and when i left the course early i had a bursery overpayment which i wasnt aware of & I moved house round about same time i left course.
However 10 years and 2 children later i have decided to return to college.
I applied for a course & was rejected on basis of this overpayment , i have lost the letter telling me how much i owed & also telling me i couldn't apply for any course within lanarkshire until i pay back this money.
I have tried contacting the college etc but nobody seems to know anything about the letter or how i can pay it back.

Has anyone else had the same problem before?

I would tell the college that has rejected you to provide proof that an overpayment is outstanding - if the college you studied at can't find it I would be surprised if another one can.
