Private car sale through RAC

Hi everyone, I am new to here.

I am a first time buyer.

I am planning to buy a car privately, and the seller offered me to complete the transaction through an 3rd party website called RAC. I have tried to find out is it safe or not. However, I cannot find any review about this. The seller told me that it will allow me to drive and inspect the car before paying them.

The website called "racinstructions"

Please advise!!

Many thanks

I wouldn't pay via an unknown website. It sounds dodgy I'm afraid.

Any seller that doesn't allow you to do that anyway (assuming you're insured) is trying to hide something.

Private sales - see car, pay cash, take car with you
  • Does this involve you paying the website for the car before you actually get it?

    It's a SCAM.

How did you find the car?

Have you seen it yet? If not why are you even discussing payment when you don't know if the car is suitable?

The first thing that you need to understand is that this will have absolutely nothing to do with the RAC.
