Looking at getting new laminate in lounge and study. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good laminate to use? Colour wise i'm veering towards an Oak or lighter colour finish. Would also be interested to know which underlay will be good with it. Will require approx. 48 sqm. Thanks

Hmmmm, not bad considering it's August:T;);)
(your sig)
The serious bit;
Get the cheapest, best warrantied option you can find in a pattern to suit you.
It's MDF with a laminate on top, you may find a few suppliers who specify the top face thickness, thicker would be better.
If you are going to abuse it, then then pay extra for the added warranty but watch the fine printI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Can't help you with the colour as that's really down to personal preference and decoration/furnishings/room lighting.
I can however recommend QuickStep. I had this fitted in my lounge a few months ago, it's very nice I'm really pleased with it. To get the warranty, you'd need to use their underlay, but it's not that expensive.0 -
I've been looking at the same - want a white colour, so light oak is the option for me

Looking at Vitrex underlay boards from Screwfix
Previoulsy I used B&Q Aqualoc ( but now changed the name)- again light oak, but they no longer stock anything similar in their current range, but it still looking good after 6 years use.

Ooh I'm getting quickstep elite in my hall, in old white oak. Glad others rate it, can't wait to get it installed now0

For the underlay have a look at the green fibre-board sheets, better than the thin roll-out foam underlay.0

These are fine, but make a lot of dust, when you lay them, plus the Vitrex I mentioend earlier, are a similar price, from Screwfix and a superior and cleaner product, from what i can see.
