Carpet Runner still waiting

Hi my 84 year old mum had a carpet put down last week all ok but they never put a proper runner between hallway and kitchen , they said they will fit proper one by Tuesday yesterday , the problem is my mum uses a zimmer to get back and fore to get into her kitchen so if she stumbles over this wrong size runner , when they said they will do it by yesterday , they told her on phone this am that they are waiting for a delivery to come in today , I think they are fobbing her off . It's a local carpet shop where she lives . What are her rights on this please . Thanks ps she as paid in full for this job .

Are you really writing about a one day delay?

I would suggest that your mother's most useful right at this stage is the right to keep on at them until they finish the job.

In my opinion, anything other than that would be overkill at this point in time.
