Additional cardholder = financially linked?

Hello. I would like to get an additional Capital One card for my fianc!e linked to my credit card so that she can have it for emergencies. We're currently not financially linked, as we are waiting for a default to drop off her credit record next year. If I added her as an additional cardholder, would this financially link us and therefore lessen my chances of getting further credit?

Thanks.

No, financial link only occurs where you share liability for a line of credit.

On a secondary cardholder only the primary cardholder is liable and so no financial link is created
