These are good fun to play with if you have the time. They seem to want to try a gotomeeting or similar for a little bit of dabling with your pc. They dont seem too computer savy either.0

My record stands at two days.0

I spoke to one lot for about 25 minutes, my computer being unaccountably slow to do anything and prone to crashing (must have been all those viruses they were telling me about). Sadly then the kids came home from school so I got them to ring me back the next day when I'd have time - and they did! A slightly pyrrhic victory as I had to listen to their drivel again, but I doubt I had anything better to do......0

Given up with these, its foxtrot oscar for them I'm afraid.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I've had a couple this week, and one of them was actually quite rude when I said my computer was fine, then when I hung up, he kept ringing back and being quite aggressive.
I'm registered with TPS but that doesn't stop the calls.
They ask for me by my married surname, and the ONLY form I have EVER filled in using that name was when I clearly ticked the box saying no contact from anyone else.
Clearly they have sold my details on without my permission! Wish I can remember who it was now...
As these calls come from India nothing the TPS can do.
I have caller display so calls Out Of Area, I just ignore. Or you can get weird looking numbers to fool anon call blockers, don't answer those either.0 -
I heard or read about someone who acted totally daft - when the caller said "open windows" the person said - "are you mad? It's freezing here!" and hung up.

I've had a couple of these calls in this past week, where someone from the "Windows Technical Team" claims that your computer is sending messages over the internet and that all sorts of horrible things are going to happen to it if you don't let them fix it for you.
Tell them that the messages sent over the internet are actually from you and not the fault of the computer. Tell them you get immense enjoyment from annoying people, see what their response isIt's someone else's fault.0 -
I got this yesterday, and when I said, could I please have a number so my IT technician could call him back... he was very rude, aggressive and said IT technicians do not know how to do their job, and are trying to rip me off with contracts, and I should not include them and just listen to him..
Just left it hanging for a while before they hung up0 -
I had them going for 45 minutes.
They kept asking me to press all these options for a PC and I kept saying oh no I can't see that one.
They were really annoyed when I caved and asked "I'm using a Mac does that make a difference?" They swore and hung up :rotfl:First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
I pretended I was deaf and kept asking young man to repeat everything. Eventually the young man told me to _ _ _ _ off.
