Used Skoda Octavia Estate v Citroen C4 Picasso

Thanks all,
In no particular order: Yes I've read the reviews - no outright winner so I was looking for informed owner views to flesh out the pros and cons.
It does indeed seem to be a question of reliability(Skoda) V comfort (Citroen). Yes, the idea of problems with the semi-automatic gearbox worried me too but I haven't found much evidence to say it's been an issue (yet!), there is of course also a manual C4 Picasso which I'll check out.
Seat Exeo: strangely enough I was driving down the A11 yesterday when one of these passed me and I thought "that looks about the right size I wonder what it is" and promised myself I would check it out, which I'll now do, thanks.
Superb would be great but only v-high mileage units available in my price range and, even with a diesel, I'd be worried the car has been well thrashed.

Thanks for all your input, much appreciated even if it hasn't led me to a clear decision yet.

I'd buy the Skoda for the simple reason it isn't french

Update: reviews suggest SEAT Exeo has poor rear seat comfort for three (which we need as have teenagers one of whom is still growing at alarming rate!). So that one is out of the running.
