What is the target time for Budgeting loans?

I sent a Budgeting loan form about 4 weeks ago and DWP have not done it yet and they state they got it.
So do they have time targets to get them done?
i did ask why it was taking them a while to look at it and was told due to short of staff.
so this got me thinking are DWP moving staff from other parts to PIP to get to get the waits down on PIP?

More likely someone in government cut back on staff due to reduction in social fund workload and got their sums wrong. Or just used the social fund changes to cut staff regardless of the consequences.0 -
It's also peak leave season - which will impact on an overstretched service0

It should be a couple of weeks...
The man in charge is a certain Mr Smith, and his email address is caxtonhouse.clerkpru@dwp.gsi.gov.uk
I suggest that you contact him about the problem.0 -
I applied for one a few months back, took about 6 weeks
I think they usually say 6-8 weeks but could be less, could be more
But mine personally was 6 weeks, you should recieve a letter with an offer then when you send back (Saying that you accept their offer, don't expect it to be anywhere near what you asked for though) you should get the money in about 2 weeks
Government are cutting back on all 'unnecessary' staff at the moment, so I doubt they would draft in staff from other areas to help out, but I don't know as I don't work for them (Just my opinion) maybe someone who does work for them can prove me wrong
Hope this helps0
