bought a bush smart tv from argos last October, its broke but cant find the receipt and I paid with cash, have I got any rights to take it back because they say I cant do anything about it

To exercise your rights under the Sale of Goods Act you need to be able to prove you purchased it from them. With no receipt and no bank statement I think you'll find that difficult to do.
And given it is more than 6 months since purchase they would be within their rights to refuse to do anything until you prove the fault is inherent anyway.0 -
the fault is common on this model as argos on ebay are selling loads as refurbished so there aware of it,, what chance do I have with bush0

Refurbished doesn't mean faulty though. It means exactly that, 'refurbished'. In Argos' own words:These items are professionally refurbished, but may have obvious marks or scratches. This does not affect the functionality and is purely cosmetic

Given that Bush is just a brand name these days, you aren't going to get very far with them. Especially since Bush is owned by Home Retail group, which is the parent company of Argos.
