My grandaughter is being persued by this company for debts incurred in her name by a third party. She has advised the company of this fact and they agreed verbally to discontinue their actions. Recently they have undertaken three Experian searches. These searches have dramatically impacted upon her Experian credit score and have led to rejection of a previously accepted car purchase credit agreement. They have had no authority to undertake these searches. How can she get them removed?

Are you sure its the searches that did that?

As for verbally, you need to get that in writing.

Is it fraud? Reported to the police etc?

The searches shouldnt have an effect on the score if they were classed as unrecorded and correctly searched.
