Light at the end of the tunnel.

While we`ve been going through the doubts and depressions of selling our home, we have been thouroughly enlightened and entertained by this forum. I thank you all for that.

After putting our home up for sale in the middle of May we didn`t have a single viewing in 8 weeks. Our agent has been doing all he could marketing wise, and even seemed to be reading our minds over ideas. In that time we dropped the price 5k on 115k, against our agents advice. Last week we were thinking about dropping to 100k making a 5k loss; we were so desperate to sell and just move on with our lives.

Last Saturday we had 2 cash buyers through the door. The one who we liked, came back for a chat on Sunday and we agreed a price of 109k and express completion, agent was informed and formal letters exchanged. Monday solicitors instructed and cash buyer number 2 came back with an offer also.

Ok things could go wrong, but what a crazy thing house selling/buying can be. Feast or famine.

Cheers John
