Onan sorry I think you're wrong. That's why the big companies get away with it because know one complains. Why should I have to pay exorbitant premiums because of a fraudster. I know i'll have a fault claim against me but you would think that they would look at the claim as a whole and think well that's wrong so throw the entire claim out or at the very least investigate it properly. My documents and my vehicle have been gone over with a fine tooth comb but I'm not the one making the claim. I will be complaining I just thought I might be able to get some direction on here.
Knock yourself out
Let us know how you get on
The law currently allows for claims still to be paid even if there is an element of dishonesty.
Bottom line, as Quentin said earlier on in this thread, your insurers have the right to resolve the claim as they see fit.
If they take the economic decision to pay rather than waste tens of thousands of pounds with litigation, that is their lookout.
So long as your position has not been prejudiced (which it has not as you rear ended another vehicle) so were at fault anyway, your insurers have done nothing wrong and you would have a fault claim against you whether it was £100 of damage to the other vehicle, or £10k of damage.
I really don't see what you will ultimately achieve with your planned complaint, other than frustrating yourself further and for longer.0
