I have US Dollars is cash and want to send it to an account abroad. Where can get a cheque or draft to post it or how can I transfer this? Can banks make a transfer for you in US dollars?

Basically you can't.
In the UK you would have to sell the dollars cash and put the sterling into a bank account and then send on to your dollar account.

It is only $2,500. Banks like HSBC and Citi aren't really international if they can't process that
