Best Internet / TV / Phone deal for new owner

Hi,

Just moved into a new home and am looking to get the best possible package for TV, NET and Phone Line to meet my needs.

The main requirement for me would be a reliable internet, a phone line as standard and any sort of TV package would be a bonus for me as I prefer to watch my football and rugby at the pub. I love movies but often go the cinema and buy Blu Rays so Movie channels are not essential, - unless of course there are good deals to be taken advantage of.

I have seen a couple of good offers (price wise) from the likes of TalkTalk, EE, even sainsburys for internet - but also wondering if these are reliable? as I have always been with Virgin/Sky or BT at previous addresses. (im now based in Leeds, LS22)

Any suggestions of feedback greatly appreciated.

If you can get fibre/cable Barry, then forgive the pun, but the skys the limit.

Theres Virgin (expensive) and/or TalkTalk TV (fibre or copper) or BT TV (fibre only) and the latter two are quite cheap on triple play bundles.

Barry, I live about 10 miles away from you. Most of Leeds has cable installed (except where I live of course, cos they couldn't be bothered stretching the cable to cover the 5,000 houses there), and I would have gone for Virgin if I could based on the deals that were available at the time - not sure if LS22 is the same, but from other postings, don't think you need to pay line rental if you have cable. I'm with plusnet which is pretty good for phone/broadband and their fibre optic deal looks okay - also not available in my street ! I pay £25 a month for broadband, line rental, and unlimited calls which is ok. In LS22 you won't be short of options unless you are on the outskirts, If there is a SKy dish already installed, Plusnet give you free access to BT sport.
