Barclaycard CPP Claim

Anyone able to advise what is the likely reason for mis selling on a Barclaycard, and therefore what to put on the form in the box asking 'why he wants to be considered for compensation'?

I'm claiming on behalf of my father who has Alzheimers (I have LPA). He unfortunately doesn't understand what a barclaycard is any more...

I assume putting the right thing in the box is critical to success..

??

Its a difficult one to be honest.

Presumably he did not have Alzheimers when he took the card out.

Do you know how he got the card, in a bank, over the phone, on the internet....
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • No he was diagnosed in 2009, and would have had the card for several years prior to that. No idea how he got the card but we banked as a family and a business for many years with barclays so probably in the local branch

You have to be honest not use the "best reason"

That said, isn't CPP just mis-sold in general as it didn't do anything that you didn't get from the bank anyway?

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
