    You have emailed them 3 times and been ignored? So would not a phone call to the manager be appropriate at this point? You don't even know if those emails have been received.
    Does the hostel accept that the charge has been made? Until that point has been established, they're not going to refund it.
    And you need to clarify how you can be charged 'after you leave' if you never showed in the first place.
    Their website clearly states that no-shows and cancellations with less than a day's notice will be charged at the first night's rate.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
