I get my first wage this month and as the budget i set out was a fab one i had to mot oh's car £240 and mine is in tomorrow so thats my plan gone completely bust but at least that will be it for a year hopefully!!!
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?

F**KING BARCLAYCARD!!!! The direct debit hasn't gone AGAIN even though the guy on the phone TOLD ME it would go out on the 11th and would be £8 so they slapped another late payment charge on it and the guy on the end of the phone had the CHEEK to say that 'they tell every customer that they'll get a letter of confirmation that the DD is set up' B*LL*CKS the guy told me nothing except it was set up fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH !!!!!!! So now my balance is £900 and I've got to pay £28 by the 6th August but 'as a one off goodwill gesture' they're refund the £12 late payment charge..... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

    AND IT'S F**KING POURING DOWN and I didn't get the washing in......12.gif

Right... with berklaycard's £28 payment the bills come to approx £827 SO the plan is to leave £850 of Ste's wages in the bill account to cover any 'unexpected bills' which will leave us with £90.42 saved from the wages. We have £44.20 in savings already plus will get child benefit on the 14th which will be £120.80
so without saving any extra we'll have £255.42... car tax will be about £75ish leaving £180 for the MOT and a service if the MOT isn't bad. I'm not expecting there to be much on the MOT as the car is only 4 yrs old so fingers crossed. Then we'll have just over a month to get some money together for the car insurance for either a deposit or to pay it off in one go so we say money on the finance of it and save £30ish a month. Will definately go through quidco and get some cashback too.....

Hi IA,Would it not be cheaper in the long run to tax for 12 months. Best to tax on last day of month or online if you don't want to queue up at the Post Office. As for MOT it costs £45 everywhere.

you're probably right... depends on the mot and what needs doing as to whether we could do it though!
