I've got my MOT due next month too - am dreading it as the car's been making very peculiar noises, not to mention the rear windscreen wiper that doesn't work when it's raining (but will when it's sunny!)Total Debt 13th Sept 2006 (exc student loan): £6240.06

Morning!
You can get an MOT done a month early and ask for a 13 months MOT certificate ... you could always get the MOT/service done early then see how much money you have/have not got left over to see whether you could afford to get a years car tax?
Last year I got 6 months, then when that expired I got a years worth so I am now not paying out for MOT, Service and tax all at the same time which helps with the budgeting!Proud to be dealing with our debts - We WANT to be debt free DEC 09

Have booked our MOT... sat 4th August at 10.30 at Nationwide autocentres because we'll get 33% off the price for being AA members
. Means by then we'll have £163.72 which *should* cover an unexpected bits it needs.. fingers crossed!
Edit will ALSO mean that we should be able to get a years car tax PLUS a service if all goes well..... depends on the result of the MOT!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi IA, glad the car stuff has worked out.... don't want to tempt fate, but I'm sure the car will be fine if its only 4 yrs old!
Love the vids..... DS rolled for the first time last week.... I was in the kitchen and came back in to discover him on his front watching the tv.... then spent the next half hour with OHs phone, trying to film him! I think he's got a phobia of cameras, as soon as it comes out, he stops moving!
