Hi sarah long time lurker here again!
Hope Steve is alright & not in too much pain, im off sick myself feel like poo!
  • Hey all. Sorry I haven't updated. I had to take Ste in to work as obviously he can't drive now. He had a rough night.. aches and pains all over not to mention that he couldn't get comfy. He's feeling pretty depressed about it but they have their xmas meal and night out later so he should perk up.
I've had a right stressful morning. Took him into work and then carried on to stafford to do the shopping I was supposed to do last night. Bought ste a little something extra plus I'd been given a £10 dotty p's gift card by some family friends so I went and treated myself to a pair of trousers. They were £15 so I just had to put £5 towards them :) By then K was kicking off as it was time for their breakfast so I went to the bank to get some money out.... only to find there was only £9 in there!!! Went into the bank and it turned out my wages hadn't gone in and that cash point wasn't lying. K was REALLY kicking off by this point and I was seriously stressed so I got £5 out of the bank to get them a mcdonalds and get some food in them. after that I went to work to find out what was happening... Ash wasn't impressed by all the walking and was playing up as well.. but we got there eventually and work had declined to tell me that the couple of week before christmas are paid CASH. :wall: So I collected my wages and came home...
Now about to sit down for a cup of tea and a relax. I'm supposed to be going out tonight in cannock and meeting up Ste but can't get hold of MIL who hasn't said whether she can have the girls tonight yet and I need to book a taxi!!!! :wall::wall::wall:

All in all the morning from hell.

How annoying, they could have told you that you'd get paid in cash!

  • Woooah, what a 24 hours you have had. Just catching up on your thread after being away yesterday and so much has happened. Poor Ste, hope his arm mends quickly and the pain subsides. DH is nursing what he says is a tendon problem after smashing his arm on a wall, I still think he should have it Xrayed but he is all of a sudden a Dr. Anyway I know how much pain he is in so I am doubly sympathetic for Ste. Ouch! Sorry you have had such a stressful morning but I think it is outrageous that work didn't tell you of this cash arrangement. And what is the reason for that anyway? Well at least you have it now. Hope you have a more chilled afternoon and get to go out and play tonight. Hugs
  • tell me about it.. I keep looking for Jeremy beadle to jump out of a cupboard somewhere.... :wall:No idea about the cash thing. apparently they do it every year!

Morning sar, glad ste is on the mend. I've had a great morning too. I was supposed to be working this morning but my stupid husband went off on his gig with my only set of car keys in his bloody pocket. Of course his phone is off so I couldn't get hold of him, and by the time he turned it on it was too late for him to do anything. He did suggest couriering them home but that would cost a bomb. It isn't like I can just hop on a train either is it? So I had no choice other than phone around and beg a dep to do me a short notice favour GRRRR. We have a flippin hook next to the front door for keys, why oh why is this so hard?
