  • Back from K's check.
K's fine she's 21.14lbs and 72cms long. Development wise she's fine and the HV has given us more stuff for her eczema as apparently we should be using the hydrocortizone cream on red bits and the normal stuff on all over every other day to prevent it. Apparently she thinks that K's got a bit of thrush behind her ears and in her neck so have got some cream for that too.

    Things I'm apparently doing wrong.

giving her whole milk instead of formula milk (she stopped drinking formula full stop).
not giving her multivitamins because she's not on formula.
as I've been using the creams wrong she thinks her to waking at night because of her itchy eczema .

    *sigh*

Don't get bogged down by what HV's say - sometimes mum & dad know what suits their child better! And if K stopped drinking formula, then what else are you supposed to do but give her real milk?!

Sounds like you're doing an awful lot of things right.....and I bet both girls have a reasonably balanced diet with naturally sourced vitamins (plus the added ones in some foods).

Keep up the good work - they certainly look healthy & well!

Hi hon don't take HV comments to heart. You are doing you're best and sometimes, although they are only doing their job and trying to help, they can come across as a bit 'jobsworth'. I think the manner in which way you are told something, advised rather than criticized, can make all the difference. I know it does with me. I think you are a great mum. XX

    Egg - £469.91

Our next child benefit is on tues 4th December so all being well we could have egg totally paid off by the 5th december..... how to make £131.36 in 23 days...

EDIT: forgot that I have £51.45 waiting to be paid out from TCB, but I can't request it til the 12th Nov.. BUT once I do it should be here by the end of nov...
AND Ste's still waiting for £50 to become payable in his topcashback from virgin casino... mine's already been paid so he should get his soon... fingers crossed they both arrive before the end of nov as that would make things sooo much easier..and we'd only have to find £29.91 to pay it off by end nov!

Well done both of you for getting rid of Barclaycard today. :j Will they charge you interest from today until the money clears into your Barclaycard account, please do not feel obliged to answer?

The reason I ask is because my friends are due to pay off their first credit card in full at the end of this month and they were asking me.
