D-DAY! for barclaycard tomorrow! the min payments went out today and once everythings cleared that I expect to tomorrow (£57.58 from ebay which is in limbo from bills acc and child benefit), we'll have enough to pay off barclaycard and have £62.35 change to pay for Lewis' jabs with some change lol.
hoorah!
Ste's going out on saturday night for his nephews 18th so we won't be able to pay everything off egg straight away.. but I'll work out where we stand with that in a bit.
:T :T
Wooooooo can't wait to be rid of barclaycard!! Then all the rest of our debt except the car loan will be 0%!!:D:D:D:D Won't be long before Egg's gone any but the plan at the minute is to keep Egg open because you can get up to 3 months interest free on purchases with it so that can be our 'credit rating repair' card as it's the one with the best deals and lowest interest (16.9% but with better 0% deals).
Ooooooh we're so close! :j :j :jTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

I'm going to play devil's advocate here...
What were you/Ste doing when Ash emptied all the drawers? Usually, when my darling monsters do something like that it is because I was too busy doing 'other' things to notice what they were up too...I personally believe it's their way at getting attention, kids would rather negative attention than no attention at all.
(only from experience have I learned this)Second-perhaps Ste thinks that as he is out working all day that he doesn't have to help out as much with the house work? I know that when I was at home (working I might add-with the kids etc) the my DH didn't see why he should have to help out as much! Now that both of us are working full-time equally hard
OUT of the house, we get a cleaner in-not very DFW to be fair but I worked over 52 hours last week at my 'normal' job, 16 with Virgin (doing parties etc) and plus had the kids, house and dog to take care of...it only seems logical.
If only we could afford a cleaner :rotfl:Sorry to sound a bit judgemental but I'm only trying to put it to you like a man would, lolTotal 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Oh the little monkey!
Well, nuff said...she's obviously very inquisitive, lol
I can't offer any help as to house cleaning, I loath it as well. But I do find it easier to do things as I go along-I always do the dishes now right after a meal or I end up leaving them for ages as I HATE washing up. (Almost as much as I hate hoovering, lol)

My DH is a bit like this Bunny, he is lovely and wonderful and works so hard to bring in a good salary but since I get to be a SAHM he seems to think he has no responsibilities in the house, so I have to do all the cleaning and childcare - now I get that a lot of this is now my job but I do seem to remember him being part of the babymaking process and thus I feel he should take a role, at least take DS off my hands so I can get the cleaning done. Also he gets paid holidays, I get nowt. If I say I am tired he tells me to go to bed earlier - at this rate I will be going before DS. I really don't want to go back to work but I have considered it as a way of getting him to help out LOL. Staying at home and doing all of this is harder than any job. I-A with two under 3 I think you are a marvel. I used to be a lot more houseproud but I don't have the energy any more. That's my rant over for the day.0

I hate housework with avengence and I never seem to be able to get on top of things.
I go to peoples houses and they are like showhomes and I wonder just how the heck they manage to do it.
Since having kids I have been fighting a losing battle.
Loving the Barclaycard poster IA. You are paying your debts off at a fantastic rate you should be very proud of yourself.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

Bunny, that's very astute (the attention thing), that's exactly what Ryan does - any attention, even negative attention, is better than no attention at all!
It sounds like a combination of boredom/wanting attention if she is doing it in the morning before you get up. Once she is asleep, could you put a couple of (quiet) toys by her bed, so that she has something to play with straight away in the morning, if she wakes up before you? Don't put them there while she's still awake though, or she'll just get straight back up and play with them.
Awwwww, is anyone watching Real Rescues on BBC1? Dolores the pig is heavily pregnant and is wedged into a manhole.....bless....."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Oh, I was going to say, I never got the hang of Flylady (faaaar to disciplined for me :rotfl:), but I have a rule now that if I'm sitting at the computer, or watching tv etc, every time I get up (brew, change nappy, feed, loo, etc), I put 5 things away. It took a few days to have any effect (there were a LOT of things to tidy up!), but my house is looking loads better and I haven't really noticed I'm doing anything extra."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

I don't know what this 'flylady' thing is but 1 good piece of advice I got from a friend was to get an egg timer and put it on for say 20 mins and tidy/clean for that amount of time, then 'reward' yourself with a TV program, computer time etc.
I do find that being on the 'puter all day does affect my effecttiveness slightly, lolEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
