Just a quickie Sarah as my PC keeps crashing and I can't access my PMs for some strange reason but I have just been clearing Sams bedroom out to make for for "Santas toys"
and i have found a Burnwood (is that right) electric guitar for children that has very rarely been used but it has one string (is that right?) broken and it needs a 9V battery - anyway with you all been such a musical family I would love to give it to Ash if you dont mind - i dont know how much strings cost to replace
its a greeny bluey colour with a wooden handle and might be too big for her at the moment but anyway Ash is welcome to it if she would like it. I've got your address so just say on your thread whether you would mind me giving to her or not, I'll keep checking when I can and I'll get in post as soon as I can if you would like it that is xxxxx
Edit: Sorry sarah - hubby just informed me it doesnt work and he doesnt know whats wrong with it but if you think you can get it work to you are more than welcome to it.0 -

I've just spent the past hour cleaning. We got back from SIL's party and walked into a complete disaster zone. Why is it going out and coming back makes everything look so much worse???
In the past hour I have...
sorted out the MOUNTAIN of dry clothes and hung them up.
Sorted out all the clothes that Ash had taken out of the drawers this morning... (5 drawers.. each of them usually full of clothes.. emptied onto her bedroom floor )
Gathered the dirty washing which is now overflowing the washing basket.
Tidied up and hoovered the living room which was trashed.
Swept the kitchen twice because by the time I'd finished it needed doing again.
Emptied and cleaning the cat's litter tray
cleaned the surfaces and hob
emptied the bin and cleaned the lid
mopped the floor and disinfected the mop
disinfected Ash's dinner table
SERIOUSLY had enough now. I hate cleaning and there's still washing up to do and some to put away which is DH's job but he's passed out on the sofa :mad::mad: so guess who'll be doing THAT TOO.
Not impressed. Not cut out for 'housewife' stuff at all I hate it hate it hate it!
Needless to say my house is usually a tip. This is a combination of..
smallish house
lots of stuff
2 kids under 3
one hubby who works full time
me being expected to look after the kids AND the house on my own.
sorry rant over...Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Aww that's really kind! I'm sure she'd love it anyway! She loves 'playing' my bass and having something of her own to play would make her day... Thank you so much!:grouphug:

Wow, get you Mrs Flylady! I hate housework too, the washing and ironing is Stu's department, but apart from that I do most of it. I REALLY hate washing up, and especially drying up (I don't get it - they will dry on their own wont they??
). I quite like tidying up though!

Girls I'd rather not have an oven than a dishwasher, I can't deal with washing up, life is way too short for that carry on. Actually come to think of it the kids would rather I gave up the oven too :rotfl::A

Sar,
I'm going to play devil's advocate here...
What were you/Ste doing when Ash emptied all the drawers? Usually, when my darling monsters do something like that it is because I was too busy doing 'other' things to notice what they were up too...I personally believe it's their way at getting attention, kids would rather negative attention than no attention at all.
(only from experience have I learned this)
Second-perhaps Ste thinks that as he is out working all day that he doesn't have to help out as much with the house work? I know that when I was at home (working I might add-with the kids etc) the my DH didn't see why he should have to help out as much! Now that both of us are working full-time equally hard
OUT of the house, we get a cleaner in-not very DFW to be fair but I worked over 52 hours last week at my 'normal' job, 16 with Virgin (doing parties etc) and plus had the kids, house and dog to take care of...it only seems logical.
Sorry to sound a bit judgemental but I'm only trying to put it to you like a man would, lol
