  • Morning all! K was really good last night she woke at 11 and had a bottle but then slept til about 6.45 before getting up at 7.30. Speaking of K i went in this morning to find her leaning up against the rail of her cot on her knees... Time to drop the mattress down me thinks!!!! I know I've said this loads but she is so close to crawling... she's so nearly there and it is SO frustating!!!! LOL!

Today I WILL try and get my head around matched betting today.. how hard can it be?? Well.. very hard from what I (failed to) understand of it..... just need to sit down and read it over and over I think. So will fit that in around practicing, band practice tonight and brekkie (I say brekkie, she wants us there for 11.30 lol) at MILs.

Going to tot up the finances today too. Haven't worked out where we're at for a couple of days... :D

    Morning Sar,

Matched betting..... Have you got £100 you can use as a float. Then go to Quidco and choose a bookie to use, sign up and deposit required amount to release bonus. Paddypower are giving £25.50 if you sign up and deposit £10 and then they give you a £20 bonus.

Then you need the matcher spreadsheet from the MB thread.

Then you need to study odds (in decimals) from a football match in paddypower and check them against the odds in Betfair. You need odds that match.

Then place your bet in paddypower using your £10 bet (or £30) if the free bet is given right away. You then place the opposite bet on betfair for the same amount of money (kind of) you get the figures from the spreadsheet.

If the result is the paddypower result you win in paddypower and you MAY be able to release your winings, although some bookies place restrictions on withdrawing winnings from free bets (you may have to play through). If the result is in the betfair side then jobs a good un.. Your money is sitting in betfair, and in theory you will be up cashwise depending on the odds you chose. You could either leave your money in betfair for the next bet or withdraw your profit and carry on (best to leave it though as you can then build up a pot to allow you to do bigger bets).

You may not need £100, but its wise to be prepared. I think you should practise later (while you are building up your fund).

Study the odds on paddy power and betfair for a match and put the figures on the matcher spreadsheet. That will give you an idea of the outlay you will need initially.. and get you into the swing of things....

If you need any help give me a pm

Well you know what they say, small steps make big distances. (okay I made that one up but you know what I am saying)..

It can be bits here and bits there but all the bits add up. It is something you can do from home.. Hypno does and SS has made a good whack out of it. I started matched betting last year when both me and OH lost our jobs and to be quite honest, it saved our bacon.

It can be hard at first as you have to study odds and finding odds can be time consuming (i found it a bit addictive). You don't need to know anything about sport or teams or anything like that. I haven't got into 'arbs' or anything like that because that is a bit beyond me....

I don't do it so much at the moment cos I am too busy with work, but I think you would be great at it.

Okay from paddy power £10 bet you would get £25.50 quidco and then about £15 from your free bet.... therefore £40 profit... Not to be sneezed at. Places like Coral also send you free bets every now and then

  • I've just had a look but not sure if I've got it right as I don't understand the spreadsheet lol
ok here's what I've worked out... which is probably wrong but you've got to start somewhere..
so if I backed midleborough on betfair with £10 at odds of 5.3 I'd get £43 back if they won...
if I backed everton on paddypower with £30 (it said it was £20 free bet + £10 of my own) at odds of 4-5 (not sure how to make this decimal?) apparently if they won we'd get £55 back plus £25.50 from quidco...

so we'd either end up with a profit of £23 or £33 depending on who won...
    is that how it works????

  • if its a drw one will still pay out as you are betting for them not to win, so if they drew they wouldn't have won.:D You can't lose once you get it:D
