Did you ever get your race for life done in the end IA? I did mine on Sunday finally after it had been cancelled twice and thought of you at the time and whether you'd managed to do yours.

I hope not. We had a lovely sunny afternoon for it in the end but we were doing it at York racecourse and then land was really uneven and still wet in places so I think they altered the 'course' slightly and my friend and I did a brisk walk rather than attempting any jogging (especially as she's off on holiday today and my parents were arriving for a visit shortly after the race) but we got round in 56 minutes without stopping once so we were pleased, and it was the 19th anniversary of my grandmas death (from lung cancer) so it made it all the more important to actually do it (had a reached a 'can't be bothered with it really' stage). I raised £236 which I'm pleased with.

Keeping my fingers crossed for nice weather for you

The irony is the 2nd anniversary of my mums death is on the 14th september as well. Have gotten to the point because it's been postponed so much your brain kind of switches off. Was all psyched up to do it first time round but don't know how I'll manage it now as haven't been bothered to do any training. I have taken up rollerblading which is hard enough in itself so at least I'm getting some exercise... even if it is once round the block on my blades trying to not fall over! lol!
