I reckon its coz of bank holiday too. My meccabingo cashback tracked this morning, and my £10 bonus has gone in. Most of my cashback is now tracking in quidco too - just need to add it all up. £59.22 in paypal too with one item left to pay for from yesterday's auction end.

Just realised that I've not updated on the DFW bass guitar in AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGES!!
WELL..... here's how it looks at the moment along with a pic of my holding up some debris from the destruction.. lol...

Oooh dear I look rough don't I... and ever so slightly evil considering I'd just torn out the guts of a guitar... ho hum...

Anyway, the plan at the mo is to go over the body with filler.. as I cannot for the life of me get the remains of the ghastly green paint off and it seems to be green paint, on top of white, on top of the original varnish paint and it's a right b*gger! Plus if I go over it with filler it'll get rid of any 'indescretions' from me being over zealous with the paint scraper.. lol.
Once it's ready for paint I'll repaint it and then add a clear varnish on top... before addding new hardware, strings and machine heads.

One question though.... how do you solder wiring??????? I'm imagining something quite dangerous and firey... so best but some eye goggles.... :rotfl:

Have you tried one of these?

Stick it on a power drill. Usual stuff like eye-protection and gloves needed, but strips paint and doesn't damage wood unless you lean really hard into it.
