Bed base from Gumtree

Hi everyone. Was wondering if anyone could please help? I bought a kingsize solid oak bed from Gumtree for what I thought was the bargain price of £200. However, after two nights sleeping in it, I noticed it had sunk and when I looked under the bed was really annoyed to discover that the middle metal support had cracked but has not yet broken. I was obviously sold this without a supporting leg or something as there is a large bolt hole. I was hoping someone on here could please suggest an alternative support. I was thinking bricks but this might not be the most practical solution plus they may not reach right up to the middle metal. Would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!:T

Can you cut a wooden support leg yourself?
Might be your best option.0 -
The centre slat support has failed and needs replacing. Alternatively you could replace the slats with these one piece slats and a centr support. I haven't used this co. If you google bed slats then you'll get several sites come up. A local carpenter/joiner/ bed shop may be able to help.0

Have you contacted the seller? They may have forgotten to give you the missing part?0
