Symphony Kitchen or Howdens?

Hi All,
We recently moved and our new abode is in need of a new kitchen and bathroom. We are going to do the kitchen first, as despite the extremely dated and fussy looking bathroom, we feel the kitchen is of more importance.
Having looked in to quite a few companies, we are looking at Symphony and Howdens. Cost is obviously an issue, we need to keep it down, though clearly we don't want to end up with a poor kitchen just to save a few quid :undecided
Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice on either company, i.e experiences good or bad, quality standards or any recommendations for other cheapish companies? We are after an In Frame kitchen and we have a budget of around £8k.
Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks!
