TV on wall opposite a window

Im thinking of mounting the TV on a wall directly opposite an East facing window. 5m x 5m room
Someone mentioned it would be horrible due to the glare.
Does anyone have any recent experience of a brand new LED TV being mounted in such a way - are they bright enough nowadays for it to be OK.
If you have done this then have you regretted it or is it a non-issue?

Ours isn't wall mounted (find that a bit chavy) but it is at an angle on a side board which faces a window, so the television looks south, during certain times of the day we do have to close the blinds, our television is twenty two inches so it's only needed for a few minutes.0

Again ours wasnt wall mounted but it was opposite a roughly north facing window and it wasnt a major problem. We went for LED because they have non-reflective screens and knew the window was non-ideal, if it werent for that I'd have gone for plasma without a doubt.0

It will all depend on whether the screen is matt or gloss.
My LG tv has a screen that looks like a mirror when it's off and suffers quite badly with reflections from certain angles.
It wasn't something I even considered beforehand.I'm surprised manufacturers even make tvs with reflective screens.0 -

I did see one review where it was mentioned but I really should have taken more notice.Next time I buy a tv I'll make sure it has a matt screen0
