They are bare boards but easily fitted into small Maplin boxes - although the light and movement sensors don't work if you unless you can find a clear box.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0

Thanks, I'd probably only want to do temperature anyway. Guessing they run on a 9v PP3 battery? How long do the batteries last? I read that the temperature only boards have a much better battery life, but can't find anyone selling them now.0 -
They run from CR2032 coin cells.
The temperature only modules don't work (I've got two) and as far as I know EH are still working at it. The battery should last about a year.
The temp/light/movement modules look similar (EH sent me two to replace the non-functioning temperature modules). They still use a CR2032 cell but they only last about 3 months - you'll note that my display has given up on that because the batteries have probably run out. I haven't got round to replacing them yet.
One module sits on top of a cupboard in the lounge and the other is in a plastic box located outside the house - the temperature aligns within about half a degree with my heatpump outside sensor display.
I'll get some more batteries sometime this week (CPC-Farnell is a good source at reasonable prices)Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -

Ah, ok, thanks.
I'll wait and see if they sort out temp only modules then. I'm not in a hurry0 -
Just had an E-Mail from Energyhive to say they've sorted out the temperature monitor boards. So I've put new batteries in and I'm now waiting for them to be linked to my bridge

Thanks for the update. Hopefully they will start selling the temperature only modules again. I'd like to monitor internal & external temps, to see the correlation with heat pump demand - and whether the lodger really does crank the heating up whenever I'm not around0 -
The Energyhive multisensor detects temp, light & motion. Motion of the pcb itself in relation to a fixed source ie the planet. An accelerometer in fact, which is the device in your mobile phone, flipping the screen when you turn it around etc. Not to be confused with picking up movement in a room, which the sensor will not do. For details on the multi-sensor visit Aussie Home Energy's Support page.
The location of the three sensors on the pcb and how to create a light tunnel etc. are also detailed. I simply used a clear box which does the job fine.0 -
how much is dos cost to get one an set it up ect0

I've just received my Temperature-Only sensor and it doesn't work. I thought given the previous postings that they would have fixed this by now.
I'm awaiting a reply from them on what they are going to do about it.
