I'm not sure what the SQ in the CD name denotes, but is your laptop CD burner compatible with + or - formats (or both +/-)?
If it is only compatible with + format (CD+R) then your CD-R discs will be unuseable in it.0 -

Take them back to Lidl and change them or get a refund. Know it sounds silly but have you got a CD writer installed on your laptop?0 -
there are no + and - with blank CDs, just DVD
What software were you using to copy the files to the CD?:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0 -
rockabilly is right, there's no such thing AFAIK as CD+R."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

You'll need Disc burning software such as Nero; http://www.nero.com/enu/Downloads.html0

If your Cd burner worked with other CDR and CDRW, take them back to Lidl and get a refund0

Some music CDs have an anti piracy device placed on them so its very difficult to do a direct CD-CD copy.
it may not be the fault of the discs.
Download the nero trial version and try a simulated copy from the original disc which will not write on the blank CD but will show any errors.
if it works OK, try burning it properly without the simulation.
if it doesnt you may need to think about another method such as using windows media player to rip the tracks to mp3 or wma first, then copying them back to a blank cd using nero.
its annoying i know when you wanna make a backup copy so your original doesnt get scratched etc but with the music industry in such a state because of file sharing like Limewire and people STEALING music rather than buying it, they industry has to safeguard CDs against piracy somehow.
I'm not having a go at anyone specific but everyone likes to be paid for their work right?
So do musicians (speaking as one myself) so please buy CDs or from legal download sites such as Itunes.:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0
