Hi
Applied to nationwide mortgage through broker last week and we are borrowing much less than we can lend.
We have given all info to them.
Anyone applied for a mortgage recently to nationwide.
I want to gage time scales as our exchange is imminent and feeling nervous.
How long did it take for yours to go through? We are lending £145k on joint basis. We earn 70k between us per annum.

Tthrugelmir- yes solicitors have completed all searches. draft contract came through last week. Just a few things to amend so they are not pacing. Just mortgage and survey to do as far as I'm concerned.0

I would say 3 weeks at the most from now until you receive your formal offer. They will have to instruct a valuation etc and it can take time, big delays at the moment with mortgages. As long as you have started with your solicitors, applied for searches, raised enquires already, then i would say 3 weeks. If you haven't instructed solicitors a lot longer0

Full Application = 05/08
Text Notification of offer = 13/08
Formal Written offer received = 16/08
Of course it's going to depend on individual circumstances and the process needed for your application. Oh, and how quick a Valuation can be carried out.
Is it normal to do a fair wack of the legals before a mortgage offer?0 -

Monday 14th July we applied for ours, we received our offer yesterday the 18th August. We also had to get 3 specialist surveys though until the offer came so if yours doesnt need any i suspect it will be much quicker.0
