my new dell inspiron 1501 causing me no end of problems in the 3 months i've had it ... lots of " BSOD" ... and it just freezing ad hoc etc etc
i thought that resorting right back ... by doing a system restore back to as at brand new "factory set" ... might be worth a try ....
but i only seem to be allowed to choose from the system restores on the calendar style thing .. which only goes back about a month .
anyone advise me ??
thanks

when you turn the Laptop on , as the Dell logo appears at the top of the screen hit CRTL and F11 at the same time and you will go into the hidden restore partition
you will lose everything you have ever done on the hard disk be warned !!Ex forum ambassador

Only in a system restore, which the OP says they don't have restore points to go back to before a month ago. Browntoa's suggestion isn't a system restore, it is a factory recovery, setting it back to it's original factory condition (which your files, photos etc didn't exist). It is essentially a reinstallation of the entire OS."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Yes, that's right. As you should be backing up all your files anyway it should simply be a case of copying them back on and reinstalling the applications you have."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
