Had to Degauss TV

Interesting, last night after thunderstorm (one strike must have been close to being directly overhead), my TV's colours were all distorted on the side nearest the window. Didn't think the magnetic field of a lightning bolt would be strong enough to do that inside the house. Something I'll have to keep in mind for future reference, although not sure what I actually do about it.

    Many tvs have an inbuilt degaussing circuit. For mine switching off at mains for ten minutes then powering up activated it properly and fixed it completely. IE proper power down and power up tends to work the degausser best.
