I don't think you will get much more of a response than from your original threadJohn0

I vote for you going for it. If you can't afford to buy them outright the free option is still better than nothing.
Just ignore the scaremongerers.0 -

It's not scaremongering, it's just being careful....
All I'm saying is make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. cover everything. Dot the i's and cross the T's for every eventuality.....
What if the company goes bust... who owns the panels then. Can liquidator just come take them? Who will maintain them then? what if they damage the roof, even over time... who's to cover the costs? What about the Mortgage company?
Sooooo many questions.... get ALL the answers !!0 -
Fair points warmhands. A much more considered response than your usual ones on this subject matter.
If the points you raised are addressed the free solar may be a good option for some people. And for some it may not.0 -

You seem quite hell bent on getting it installed so personally if I were you I'd go with NI Power as, due to the size of the company and the nature of their wider business, they are probably the least likely to go bust or pack up at some stage down the line... Arguably the safest option for the installation and maintenance...0 -

NI Power quoted me for 14 panels - I then had a quote from Bluebuild in Bangor - they calculated the roof would take 16 panels, and the quote was slightly cheaper than the 14 panel quote from NI Power - Bluebuild were very good and the cheaper quote was the clincher.John0 -

I know this may sound not very money saving and I know I keep bleating on about it but think Long Term..... Think Service, Maintenance and will the company be in existence 10 years down the line.... I only say this because this is not like going out and buying a sofa or even double glazing... this is a LONG TERM CONTRACT !!0
