we put an offer in for a home, had a full survey found several faults but while waiting for a builder to quote on the repairs, we found by chance the estate agents still had the home up for sale behind our back.
we were angry we wasted all that money and with the estate agents and we pulled out.
now when we phone other estate agents in the area to make an appoint to view other places they never call back.
do you think we may be blacklisted and what can we do about it.

1: they can continue to market it, you havent signed contracts. You should've insisted it was taken off if your offer accepted.
2: They can in theory, their contract is with the seller not with you. So if the seller found out that potential buyers were being excluded they may have a case - you dont
3: Nothing in reality, as how can you prove it?0 -
It is not up to the estate agent to still market the property, but the vendors decision. The agent is just following the vendors instructions. What did the vendor say? Did they promise they would remove the property from the market while you did all this stuff or was it just an assumption by you?0

we were told it would be off the market and offer accepted, fully agree they can continue to market it. But its the fact they did not tell us.
point 3 is what i was wondering, as any one heard of this before.0 -
Why did you pull out? It's something that can be easily fixed, second thoughts spring to mind.0

Timewasters do tend to get known after a bit.
Friend of mine is an EA and most of them in the area know who they are.0 -
I really doubt that any estate agent would be that organised, certainly our experience was that they were just generally useless.0

Agent's don't share their applicant lists with other agents. So no. You're not blacklisted.0
