Repairing hole in PVC door panels after removing cat flap.

I have removed a cat flap from a moulded PVC door.
What is the best way of repairing the hole left behind?
The surfaces are not flat internally or externally.
Here are two pictures taken from the inside. I have temporarily taped up the outside to prevent wind and water ingress but I want to do a proper job before winter.
It is a side door off our utility room so cosmetic appearance isn't too important but I'd like to do a neat job if possible.
Thanks
