Anyone sold property via Gumtree?

Hi,

Flat is currently on the market with an Agent. It has only been 1 week (I know I seem pretty impatient!), we have had quite a few viewings, and 2 second viewings, but no offers yet..

We have already found a property and are now under a lot of pressure to get ours sold.

How long did it take for your properties to sell?

Has anyone ever sold their property via Gumtree?

Probably too early to be stressing, but we really don't want to lose the new place!

Thanks!

  • Sheesh calm down....this is a house you're selling not an Ikea bed.

Sounds like your Agent is doing well enough; it's only a matter of time before a buyer comes along. If you miss the 'new' house, find another, there are plenty around.

Honestly, you need to get this business right or it will hurt you financially and emotionally. Patience is a virtue.

  • Can you afford to lower the asking price for a quick sale ? Price it low enough and someone will bite your arm off tomorrow. Sounds like you will get a sale quick enough through your agent and certainly quicker than if you put it on gum tree!

If you put it on Gumtree expect lots of people round who will just kick your skirting boards.
  • Depending on where you are in Kent a bit, but houses seem to very much in demand here. It may well still take longer than a week to get an offer. A friend had a lovely house, well decorated, brilliant kitchen/bathroom (I would have salivated over it if I could have purchased) no chain, very popular area but it still took a month to get a firm offer which proceeded to completion..
