Ridiculous and unfortunate cc history

in Credit cards
Hi all,
Forgive the length : I’m just a worried newbie looking for a piece of advice after a ridiculously stupid and unfortunate history related with a credit card.
About 1 and a half months ago, after a lot of time without doing it, I went out for a party. I got too drunk , blacked out and ended up alone in a strip club. There I spent, with the credit card, about 600 euros. I didn’t remember much, but I do remember myself paying and signing, so everything seems legit.
I know is sadly a common history.
Well, the first problem is I’m married and off course I don’t want my spouse to know this awful issue. The second, that the bank teller who deals with all my banking stuff at my local branch is a very close friend of my wife.
So, when I realized what a stupid thing I did I panicked. Anyway, a month and a half passed and nobody noticed anything. So, relief. It seems more o less plausible: my wife trust me because nothing like this has happened before and her friend has no reason to look at my account.
But fortune is decidedly not on my side. At that point of time, about a month and a half from the d-day, I got a call from the fraud department of my bank to tell me that a series of suspicious purchases has been made with my card. And that I have to go to my local branch to claim that these charges ( totaling 1200 euros ) are fraudulent. Of course I go to a different branch than the one where is working my wife’s friend. I told the bank teller the thing and she instructed me to wait until the fraudulent are confirmed. But she did something else: she called my branch! So my wife’s friend now is aware of the fraudulent charges and all her attention is on my credit card.
And off course I also suspect that the fraud has alerted my bank and now I guess that it’s highly likely that I got flagged because the excessive spending in the strip club.
All in all, I don’t see a way out of this; too many possibilities to get nailed. My wife’s friend could take a look at my previous charges to see if she sees something suspicious; She could see ( o be warned ) that I got flagged because the excessive spending in the strip clup o she is required to lower my credit limit etc Or I’m just paranoid and this kind of spending doesn’t rise any flag.
Anyone knowledgeable with the banking system and credit cards can tell me something about the probability that I get out of this fine? Is there anything I can do other than waiting?
Thanks in advance

It'll be fine.
And leave the credit card at home next time.0 -
In which country is your bank?
In the UK, it would be a very serious matter if someone who worked for a bank gossiped about a customer's account, but then we don't use Euro here.
If your wife is likely to find out then it would be better if she found out from you rather than through someone else.0 -
Your wife's friend should not be discussing your account with anyone as she would be breaching the Data Protection Act which could cost her her job if she chose to do so and I'm sure she is fully aware of this.
The reality is unless she actually spoke to you she is probably not even aware it I doubt she keeps tabs on the bank accounts of everyone she knows.
Think it's more your guilty conscience than anything that's letting your imagination run away with you.0 -
Why would the teller telephone another branch and not the card services or fraud department?
OP your story has many holes in it - goodnight.0 -
Lol love the story, shame it's not real though!.0

Wow, people is really thinking im'm making this up? Which would be the porpouse of that?. If i had this imagination i would make a living writing dramatic novels.
I'm just looking for some imformation from knoweldgeable people for my peace of mind. It's just obvious.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who has tried to help.0 -
