Bank charges and going to court

Hi
We are now at the stage of going to court over reclaiming £3200 from Lloyds TSB. They have put in a written defence and the hearing is being moved to our local court- Liverpool. They offered £700 and have also now said that if we win, this amount will be deducted from the court's award.

Should we just go ahead as planned and go to court considering the recent cases and can they deduct their offer from the award?
Thanks
Kay

  • kay, the most recent case i am aware of is a member of Stephen Hone's site Penalty Charges going to court against LloydsTSB and winning with the same arguments of service which has been championed by the press as the beginning of the end for bank charges claims.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
