since everyone has been in favour of the last of us i will give that one a go first.

is there somewhere i can rent these games instead of buying them because after i finish playing i am sure i wont have any need for them unless they have multiplayer options?

Somewhere like Boomerang Rentals would. Alternatively buy the game and trade it in fior something else once you have completed it.

    TLOU has multiplayer.

I also recommend Boomerang Rentals, been using them for a number of years with hardly any issues.

  • I would recommend AC:BF. At first I did think it was a bit samey but after that, I really enjoyed it and the environment it is set in is brilliant. The naval stuff is good as well.

I'm not going to bang on about the title of the thread since I am sure that would be boring for everyone and it's probably been covered already - the main thing is to look at games that you like, not your gender since there are no games that can only be played/enjoyed by one sex.

I got a PS4 a couple of weeks ago and have been working my way through The Last of Us, Tomb Raider - Definitive Edition and InFamous - Second Son. I already played LoU and TR on last-gen machines and enjoyed both of them. If you haven't played LoU I would strongly recommend it for the story and characters. TR:DE I really liked last-gen but am finding a chore this time round. It's a bit more action oriented than the Tomb Raider games of old, but is very much pick up and play and does have a fairly typical storyline running behind it to pull the action together - plus it's quite cheap online now. I have played InFamous least of all 3, not because I dislike it but because I really want to try and finish the others so I can focus more on it. It has great characters and is a lot of fun - a bit like Assassin's Creed with superpowers. Again quite an interesting story so could appeal.

I also have Assassin's Creed: Black Flag on Xbox One, which I would recommend on PS4 if you like the other games. It's a bit more fragmented than the other games to me, as the game world consists of loads of tiny/identical islands which can get tiresome to sail between, but generally speaking the AC games have a decent story and plenty of missions and action. I personally preferred ACIII, but if you're an AC newbie it may be worth a look.

Other than that....hm....Murdered: Soul Suspect looks to be really story driven since it's an adventure game - perhaps you would like that? Reviews haven't been amazing so check those out first. I'm planning on getting it when the price drops a bit more.

Oh, I would also recommend The Walking Dead game if you didn't play it already; it's an old school adventure game which was released just recently on PS4 (it's been on several other platforms last gen so I don't know if you played it already). Killer story, I think it was nominated for/may have won game of the year last year.

Finally, you may want to have a look at Knack (maybe there is a demo on PSNetwork?). It's a platformy action game to my knowledge - not a genre I really like, but perhaps you do.

I too am shocked that you didn't like GTAV - I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down! It does get more interesting as you go through so maybe it's worth revisiting? It actually has quite an interesting story and some of the best game characters.

I'm also a fan of games with a storyline and like others have said I really enjoyed The Last Of Us, though at first I wasn't sure how I would enjoy the whole zombie thing, the storyline really kept me interested.

I also play Assassins Creed which I enjoy too. The first one was rubbish, but since then they've really improved with their storytelling and gameplay.

Though Uncharted 4 is not out yet, I really enjoyed the previous games and so that is one I look forward too!
