This is just painful now. I bought it, I paid cash, I gave it to him as a present, he then became the owner, that crisp 25th of December morning.
Why would you claim that I am still the owner, once I've given it as a present? I've gifted it, given him legal title, forfeited my claim to said car...
You don't seem to understand how presents work, I feel.0 -
I know how presents work, I bought my Brother a Playstation 3 a few years ago for Christmas.

Thanks
So then why do you believe that I am still the owner of something that I have given as a gift?
Are you making some obtuse point that I am not picking up, or do you genuinely believe that you can't give a car as a gift?
If you recall, that was what you were claiming when you said that the person who pays for it must be the owner.0 -

Calm down, I think you are confusing my post with moongardens reply.
Generally you buy a car and get a receipt from the seller(owner), that's your proof of ownership. You can gift the car away if you want, never said you couldn't. Would be a good idea to transfer the title by way of a similar receipt.
Anyway all of this doesn't help the OP."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0
