Not big on the complaints but the ladbrokes in Newcastle today had one o the worst customer service I've encountered.

- Spent 20 minutes arguing with them about the player Borini not playing 4 Liverpool today. It was only about 3 quid in money back. Apparently though he did play because he wasn't down as a non runner. They had to ring up another shop and have them check on their phone..

- They were adamant that a 50p scorecast on Borini and 2-1 was just money back (it goes on the correct score when they don't play)

- Talking to us like we were lying about a couple o quid. Trying to argue the toss instead o checking it! "Oh the till says it lost so it must have lost" - umm no I watched the game, he didn't play. Now sort it out because I cant be assed ringing customer service number(which I suspect you won't have!) and discussing it 4 an hour with them (but they would almost certainly pay me out regardless)

- Spending 10 minutes messing around with the settling when they had agreed to pay us out. Just pay it out and sort it later! You have a 25 quid manager discretion and I doubt you'll be sacked due to 7.50 quid total! Waste o time standing around. She only did it because she was !!!!ed about being wrong.

- Lying about what their job entails (though all bookies people assume that you aren't an ex employee)

- Having the toilet, which is located down 2 sets o stairs, locked without a notice in the shop to let you know b4 you make he gruelling walk down there..

- Turning round and telling us that they "haven't got a clue about ootball bets". Well what the hell are you doing working in a bookies then (about a stones throw rom St James' Park)?? Kinell, I'm just glad that I was clued up about the rules otherwise they would have paid me out 50p instead o 4.50 with the scorecast. Isn't much money but I just absolutely hate clueless cashiers and when they lie to you when you know everything they know!

Places in my hometown all know me to a degree and whilst ladbrokes is not my pick o the bunch the cashiers in general are clued up. Never get so much hassle there!

Make a complaint via their website, I've had similar problems with their staff and they (seem) to take it seriously with a response and apology within a couple of days. They say the complaint is passed onto the regional manager to take up with the individual shop.

Yep if the player hasnt come on or doesnt feature it goes onto a correct score bet. Standard and they should know that, drop them a line and explain and hope to get a free tenners bet!
