Could have been the OP's birthday, a freebie, a voucher, or you know a friend paid like he said. !!!!!!

    Over reaction much.

To the OP: Nice to see some positive for Starbucks. I go to treat myself every now and again or someone pays for me.
I know they are bad in terms of tax and ethical whatevers but sometimes it's nice just to feel well..not poor :T
The more I live the more I am shocked by ignorance, the more I realise we as a human race are doomed because of the chains we continue to wear.
People need to open their minds to the myriad of possibilities even in traditional circumstances. If I could delete my MSE account I would.

Exactly, it's not a barrel of laughs making do, I'm not claiming benefits and living off savings at the mo, keeping a roof over my head and my sons.

I always find Starbucks to be great. Had gone in when they were doing the summer frappucino promotion (half price :D) and when I got to the bottom I noticed what was, upon inspection, blended ceramic. I was fine, but mentioned it to a staff member to check. She said they'd actually broken a cup and couldn't find a small chunk of it, so assumed that that must be where it went. As I went to walk out, she stopped me, gave us all a free frappucino, and two vouchers each (there were four in our group).
    I was amazed!

I always treat myself to a Starbucks when I have a spare couple of quid or need something to make the day a little brighter.

I know they once forgot my toastie in the toaster and burnt it they offer me a new one but I didn't have time. The girl was so apologetic and said she'd get me a refund when she cam back I had a refund plus an IOU from the manager and a voucher for a free coffee it was a really nice touch.

My only bugbear is this whole name thing they always spell mine wrong :( I know take a photo and put it on Instagram as some of the combinations are jawdropping lol
